Daniel has curated a Five Part Live Jazz Music Series for Villa Charities and The Columbus Centre in his hometown of Toronto Canada.

‘An Evening of Bossa Nova’ featuring vocalist Fernanda Cunha is next on Thursday September 11th! His series for 2026 series has included ‘Jazz’s Greatest Hits' & ‘Napoli in Jazz’. Coming up is ‘Tribute to George Gershwin’ on October 29th, and ‘A Very Jazzy Christmas’ on December 3rd. All showtimes are 7:30!

Daniel is active in Global music leading ‘Barnes & Woldemichael Ethio-jazz’ & ‘Ethio-Jazz @ Hirut’, performing locally for ‘Girma Woldemichael Ethio-Jazz' and abroad with keyboardist Hailu Mergia (Dahlak band, Walias band) with icons Mahmoud Ahmed & Aster Aweke amongst his former employers. Daniel's has two full length cd releases of his own that feature him as a drummer, composer, bandleader, singer & producer. Both of these "contemporary jazz" offerings have become staples on jazz radio in Canada. Hear them here.

During August 2026 Daniel presents “Ethio-Jazz @ Hirut Cafe”, backs saxophonist Girma Woldemicheal at Habari Africa Festival as well as Melat Mengesha at The Rex Hotel. He's in at Toronto's finest supperclub, the Jazz Bistro mid month with crooner Colin Hunter & The Joe Sealy Quartet and later with Senor McNasty's Souljazz Experience (the music of Horace Silver). Daniel play ‘Let’s Be Frank - The Music of Frank Sinatra' with Christopher Plock in Fergus Ontario at the end of the month. More details here.
