Daniel has curated a Five Part Live Jazz Music Series for Villa Charities and  The Columbus Centre in his hometown of Toronto Canada.

Next up is ‘An Evening of Bossa Nova’ featuring vocalist Fernanda Cunha on Thursday September 11th! The 2026 series also includes ‘Jazz’s Greatest Hits', (past), ‘Napoli in Jazz’ (past), Tribute to George Gershwin - October 29th, and ‘A Very Jazzy Christmas’ - December 3rd. Showtime is 7:30!

Daniel is active in  the Global music field performing with ‘Barnes & Woldemichael Ethio-jazz’,  ‘Ethio-Jazz @ Hirut’ and ‘Girma Woldemichael Ethio-Jazz' locally, and abroad with keyboardist Hailu Mergia (Dahlak band, Walias band)  and icons Mahmoud Ahmed & Aster Aweke. Daniel's two full length cd releases feature him as a drummer, composer, bandleader, singer & producer. Both of these "contemporary jazz" offerings have become staples on jazz radio in Canada. Hear them here.

During June 2026  Daniel presents ‘Ethio-Jazz @ Hirut Cafe’ and backs Ethiopian vocalist Melat Mengesha in The Toronto Jazz Festival. Catch him performing with crooner Colin Hunter & The Joe Sealy Quartet in Toronto's finest supperclub The Jazz Bistro plus, in a similar vein, hear him play ‘Let’s Be Frank' - The Music of Frank Sinatra with Christopher Plock in Port Perry's Town Hall Theatre & London's Grand Theatre. He's with The Hillcrest Community Choir for their 23rd Season Closer Showcase!
