Judaism first arrived on Ethiopian lands during the time of Solomon & Sheba. A Jewish Kingdom arose & it’s people called themselves the “Beta Isreal” meaning “House of Isreal” in the ancient Amharic language. The instrumental trio specially assembled for this show incorporates jazz, reggae & indigenous Ethiopian styles as it explores the music of Beta Isreal & the intersectionality between Ethiopian & Jewish Cultures.
